October 31, 2022 Our 4th and final meeting for 2022 was on Wednesday, September 21st at the Waterdown Legion. This was a hybrid meeting of both in person and zoom and it was wonderful to see so many of our members in person again!! We had presentations from 3 very deserving charities, and once all of the votes were counted, we announced that CAMA Woodlands Resident Wish Fund was selected to receive our donations. CAMA Woodlands is a 128-bed charitable long-term care home located in Burlington, and very close to the Hamilton (Waterdown) border (and they have many residents from the Flamborough area). Donna Czukar made the presentation, and she told us about the dire need by CAMA Woodlands for a resident’s bus, and that our donations would go a long way to making that happen!

For 2022, CAMA Woodlands will be using the Wish Fund to contribute to the purchase of a wheelchair accessible van for their residents. They envision its use for the purpose of exciting resident outings such as shopping at the mall, autumn country drives, Tim Horton's runs, seeing the neighbourhood Christmas lights and other fun field trips! The vehicle could also be available to transport residents to any necessary appointments.

Thank you to all of our members for your continued support for our giving group of 100+ Women Who Care!
