Women making a difference locally

Welcome to the NEW Flamborough-Waterdown Chapter of 100 Women Who Care!

We intend to bring together 100 (or more) women in Flamborough-Waterdown who care about local community causes and who are committed to community service. This chapter was founded in May 2018 by Doris Valade with the help of Lena Aggus and Heather Kane.

We will have 4 meetings per year, and each meeting will be for one hour. Each member will bring a check for $100 to each meeting. We will have a presentation from 2-3 local charities, and then a majority vote at the end of the meeting will determine which charity will receive our donations.

Our goal is 100 women = a total donation of $10,000 at each meeting. Together we can make a difference in our community!

Our meeting schedule is as follows:

Wednesday April 15, 2020 - 7:00PM to 8:00PM

Wednesday June 17th, 2020 - 7:00PM to 8:00PM

Wednesday September 16, 2020 - 7:00PM to 8:00PM

Latest news:

We celebrated our 1 year anniversary on January 15th, with 62 ladies attending, and the evening was shared with our special guests, Donna Skelly, MPP Flamborough-Glanbrook, and Judi Partridge, Councillor, Ward 15 Flamborough. Along with coffee and cake, our January meeting included presentations from 3 local charities and our members selected “Flamborough Connects” to received our donations, with a total of $7,100.00.
