We celebrated our 1 year anniversary on January 15th, with 62 ladies attending, and the evening was shared with our special guests, Donna Skelly, MPP Flamborough-Glanbrook, and Judi Partridge, Councillor, Ward 15 Flamborough. Along with their congratulations, we also received written congratulations from David Sweet, MP Flamborough-Glanbrook – "The achievement of reaching 100 women in one year is an extra ordinary accomplishment. Thank you for your commitment to helping local charities and non-for-profit organizations. You are helping to create a strong Canadian society."

Yes, we now have over 100 committed members (amazing!), and during our first year, our donations supported Animal Adoptions of Flamborough, Habitat for Humanity (Waterdown build), Flamborough Women’s Resource Centre, and Hamilton Imagination Library (supporting expansion into Flamborough).

Along with coffee and cake, our January meeting included presentations from 3 local charities and our members selected “Flamborough Connects” to receive our donations, with a total of $7,100.00. Our donations will be applied to support their senior’s programs which include the Rural Community Grocery Bus, Holiday Gift Program, community fitness and hobby groups, and personal tax preparation services.
