Our meeting on April 22nd was back at Grace Anglican Church and along with our regular members, we had 6 new members and 2 guests in attendance. We had 2 charity presentations and at the end of the meeting, our members selected Interval House of Hamilton/Flamborough Women’s Resource Centre to receive our total donations in the amount of $6,700.00. The formal presentation (see attached picture) was made by our co-chair Doris Valade (on the left) and representing the charity on the right is Muna Ali, Manager of Community Programs. The Flamborough Women’s Resource Centre provides support for women and their children who are experiencing domestic violence and abuse. Services include: community counselling services, individual counselling, employment counselling, peer support, and wellness and recovery groups.
