We had our June meeting of 100 Women Who Care Flamborough-Waterdown on Wednesday, June 18 at the Waterdown Legion. Once again we had 3 very worthy charities presenting, and at the end of the meeting our members selected the Village Theatre Waterdown to receive our donations. We made the formal presentation to Amelia Steinbring, Chair and Planning Coordinator for the Village Theatre Waterdown (see the attached picture). In total, we raised $6,200.00 and Amelia will join us for our September meeting to provide an update on how our donations will support bringing theatre to our community.

The Village Theatre Waterdown is a community theatre that performs at historic Memorial Hall located in the downtown core of Waterdown. Village Theatre produces challenging and entertaining dramas, comedies, thrillers, and mysteries for lovers of live theatre. Since 1973, Village Theatre has provided a creative outlet for hundreds of local volunteer actors, directors, designers, and enthusiasts to express their ideas and share their passion for the performing arts. In 2023, Village Theatre Waterdown celebrated 50 years in our community. Please visit their website to learn more; Village Theatre Waterdown – Live theatre in the heart of Waterdown
