On Thursday (July 6th) we presented our total donations from our June meeting in the amount of $6,200.00 to Hamilton Out of the Cold – Knox Presbyterian Church. Once again ladies, thank you for your generosity and commitment in supporting this worthy cause!

Hamilton Out of the Cold is a not-for-profit, non-denominational program that provides meals for those in need in our community from November to March. Their mission is to provide hot nutritious meals – served with dignity and compassion. In November 2021, Knox Presbyterian Church in Waterdown partnered with Hamilton Out of the Cold to provide anyone in need in the Waterdown community with a hot, healthy meal on a drop in basis, every Wednesday between 3:30 and 4:30pm.

Attached is a picture of our cheque presentation at the Knox Presbyterian kitchen, with Janice Ormond, Executive Director of Hamilton Out of the Cold on the right, and Brenda Marriott, our member and charity presenter on the left. Janice will be joining our September meeting, to provide an update on the program, and specifically how the monies are helping in our community.
